Confession of Sin

Dear Lord, I pray with all my heart that you would look on me with the eyes of your mercy. As you looked on the evildoer who was hanged on the cross beside you, who opened his heart and confessed his sins. He was greatly afraid of them, but did not despair. He confessed and desired your grace and mercy, which you gave him willingly and plentifully. So I, a poor sinner, look to you, the great Savior, and ask you to save me forever. Amen.
